About the Producers
This blend combines two outstanding coffees: the Peru Namballe and Ecuador Finca Arashi Typica Mejorado. The Peru Namballe is an example of coffee farmers doing incredible work and environmental stewardship; they use organic fertilizers and shade trees to eliminate harmful chemicals from the environment, protecting the nearby Tabaconas Namballe National Sanctuary. The Ecuador Finca Arashi is a stunning example of the rare Typica Mejorado varietal that originated in Ecuador. Although it contained "Typica," this varietal is not related to the Typica variety — instead it is a variant of Ethiopia Landrace varieties.
